Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
